Description:

War Mongrels, or WM, is an isometric real-time tactics game that unfolds on the eastern front of World War II. This specific segment of the war, despite altering a significant number of lives and uncovering tales of courage and comradeship, also sheds light on the darker facets of human nature and societies. War Mongrels masterfully delves into these contrasting mental forces; inspired by historical events, it navigates players through the odyssey of two Wehrmacht soldiers transitioning from deserters to fierce guerrilla combatants, their recruitment swelling with like-minded individuals.

As the narrative progresses, players witness a transformation from boys thrust into warfare to men confronting the horrors of battle and finding purpose in preventing further bloodshed. Through a blend of stealth, tactics, and utilization of each character's distinctive skill set, players are challenged to outwit adversaries across diverse missions set in ever-changing environments. Strategic elements such as sneaking, distraction, silent eliminations, and environmental interaction are key components. While firearms are available for mission objectives, the game introduces an array of tactical choices to navigate through adversities.
